What is the Philippine e-Visa System?

- The Philippine e-Visa system is a convenient, accessible, and user-friendly interface for foreign nationals who wish to

apply and secure a Philippine e-Visa, which will no longer be affixed to their passports. Foreign nationals can apply for an

e-Visa remotely through their personal computers, laptops, and mobile devices.

Who is eligible to apply for an e-Visa?

- Foreign nationals can apply for a Philippine e-Visa if they are travelling to the country for business, pleasure, medical

treatment, training, attendance in conferences, meetings and workshops/seminars, and other purposes.

How will I be notified on the result of my e-Visa application?

- e-Visa applicants will be notified through their registered e-Visa account by checking the “Application Status” feature in the

e-Visa website, and an email will be sent to the applicants’ registered email address.

How long does it take to get my e-Visa?

- The processing time of e-Visas will be 7-12 working days for single entry and 15-21 working days for multiple entries.

Can I apply for e-Visas on behalf of someone else?

- Proxy e-Visa applications are allowed for family members (i.e., spouses, minor children, parents, and siblings), provided

that they are unable to lodge applications on their own (e.g., senior citizens, persons with disability, etc.). Representatives

of applicants will be required to upload a proof of affiliation to support the visa application.

Am I required to visit Philippine Embassy or Consulate for interview?

- e-Visa applicants may be given a schedule for a personal appearance and interview at the issuing Philippine Embassy or

Consulate only if requested by the Visa officer.

I have a valid e-Visa, but my passport registered to the e-Visa was lost. Is the issued e-Visa still valid?

- No, you will need to apply for a new e-Visa application to be registered to your new passport.

Payment FAQ

How do I pay the e-Visa fee?

- Online payment of e-Visa fees is currently available through direct bank transfer. Other online payment options to Chinese

e-wallets (e.g. Alipay and WeChat) will be expanded in due course.

If my e-Visa application is denied, will my payment be refunded?

- No, e-Visa fees are non-refundable.

I forgot to pay for my e-Visa application. Can I still proceed with my e-Visa application?

- If you forget to pay the e-Visa fee within 48 hours, you will need to lodge a new e-Visa application.
